The best reason has to do with students letting what they read and write act as a mirror that shows them more about themselves, or a window that shows them worlds beyond where they live.

Current Collection Objectives COLLECTION 5 = Elements of Nonfiction
Students will understand the elements of nonfiction, as well as first and third-person narration.
Students will learn to find the main idea, understand author's purpose, and distinguish between fact and opinion.
In the Informational Text Focus, students will connect and clarify main ideas across texts.
Announcements:
