Unit 1: Routines, Review, and Assessment
Four main areas of focus:
*Explore patterns on number grids
*To review telling time, measuring lengths, and using calculators
*To review data concepts and make predictions based upon data
*To give equivalent names for numbers
We are also beginning the year long project Sunrise and Sunset with Mrs. Gray. Each week we use the newspaper to look up the national high and low temperatures and plot them on a line graph. We also look up the time the sun rises and sun sets, which we graph as well. This helps us with the tricky concept of elapsed time!
