With an enrollment of 2,583 students, the Greensburg Salem School District is located 35 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the City of Greensburg, Westmoreland County. The district covers an area of 51 square miles that include urban, suburban and rural populations. Students live in the City of Greensburg, Salem Township and the boroughs of South Greensburg and Southwest Greensburg for a total population of 25,426 residents (based on 2020 Census Data). The City of Greensburg is the County Seat serving as the business, industrial, cultural, and political center of Westmoreland County. The school district strives to maintain partnerships with area businesses and organizations in order to enrich the education of our students and enhance the lives of local residents.
