The Greensburg Salem School District believes that proper nutrition and wellness are key components for each student’s physical well-being, growth development and ability to learn. A variety of healthy choices that students enjoy are available on every serving line every day. The choices that are available feature a daily assortment of entrees, and are complemented with whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, and low fat dairy options.
Colorful and informative serving line signage provides important nutrition education information to assist students in choosing the right combination of foods for optimal nutrition benefit. We strive to help students develop healthy eating habits that will last a lifetime.
Schools participating in a federal school meal program (National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, Special Milk Program, and Afterschool Snack Program) are required to make reasonable accommodations for children who are unable to eat the school meals because of a disability that restricts the diet.
If your student requires special dietary needs, please print the form below and return it to the main office.
