Remote Learning Days: Educator & Learner
The following information is a guide for how learning will take place during Remote Learning Days. Remote Learning allows the district to continue learning in the event of emergency closures of all district buildings, most commonly, snow days.

- High school learners should take their district provided device (iPad) home with them each day
- Grades K-8 learners keep their devices in the school each day. In the event of a predicted remote learning day, learners will be instructed to take their device home.
- Grades 6-12 learners will log into their Teams pages to gather asynchronous learning expectations for the remote learning school day
- K-12 synchronous meeting times will be provided for support, explanation, or clarification of the day’s learning objectives. The schedule for synchronous meetings can be found on pages 2-3 of this document.

Educational Staff:
Educational Staff:
- Teachers should prepare space and place at home for work in the event of a remote learning day
- Teachers will have asynchronous lessons prepared in Teams (Grades 6-12)
- K-5 teachers will prepare learning activities (digital or printed)
- K-5 teachers will communicate with parents the learning expectations for the remote learning day
- Teachers will work throughout the day to check in with children and families, with primary focus on children struggling in their course/class.
o Teachers will document all parent, child, and family outreach.
o Counselors should spend time reaching out to families in need. Students involved in SAP should be a primary focus.
- Teachers will attend any team or individual meeting scheduled in their day
- Educational Staff work day:
o Log in and available: 8:00 am
o Contractual Lunch time: 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm
o Contractual Planning time: 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm
o End of scheduled work day: 3:30 pm
- Teachers will be available for additional support, lesson explanation, clarification, and instruction during the synchronous meeting times listed on page 2 of this document.
Elementary Schedule:
Elementary Education (K-5) Student School Day for Weather & Emergency Related Remote Learning Day
- The times listed below are the synchronous meeting times when students and teacher should gather virtually to discuss their lesson, ask questions, or clarify the learning objectives for the lessons.
- Elementary teachers will communicate with parents the learning expectations for the remote learning day.

o 10:00 am – noon: ELA, Math, Science, & Social Studies –Synchronous Availability Time
o 1:00 – 2:30 pm: Open Office Hours

o 10:20 am – 10:40 am 1st grade Team Meetings
